Alumni and guests of this year's Convention will stay at the I Hotel, which is just minutes from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Convention attendees can benefit from a group rate of $149.00 plus tax if they register by June 30. Attendees booking airline travel will either fly into Champaign's Willard Airport (CMI) via American Airlines. Those who cannot fly into CMI will fly into Indianapolis International Airport (IND), which is located 128 miles from Champaign, or fly into Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD), which is located 152 miles from Champaign.

The I Hotel provides complimentary transportation to and from CMI for its guests. Other transportation will need to be arranged for those traveling in and out of IND or ORD.

Local transportation has been arranged for all events marked with an asterisk (*). For these events, a circuit will run between the I Hotel, Illini Union, ISR, Memorial Stadium and Alice Campbell Alumni Center, depending on the location of events.


The closing banquet of the 170th Convention will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the Alice Campbell Alumni Center. Attire for the evening is black tie. Attendees may participate in the Convention's arranged tuxedo rental program through Men's Wearhouse to get a tuxedo for $56.99. Shoes are not included but can also be rented for $20. Tuxedos rented within the Fraternity's group will be delivered to Convention for pickup on Thursday, August 2 and picked up on Sunday, August 5.

Attendees, including undergraduate delegates, are responsible for the cost of their tuxedo rental and the liability of any lost items. Men's Wearhouse cannot accept payments over the phone, so attendees must visit their local store.

  • Visit their local Men's Wearhouse store byJuly 19.Rentals requested after July 19 will incur a $20 rush fee. For locations, click here.
  • Work with a store associate to fit a tuxedo for the event.
  • Provide the group name "Chi Psi Fraternity" and the group number 4094039 to the associate.
  • Confirm that the Tuxedo will be handled by Store#4627 in Champaign, IL
  • Pay for the rental IN FULL (not just the deposit)before leaving the store. Unpaid tuxedo rentals will not be delivered.
  • Pickup their tuxedo at Convention before the Banquet and return it on Sunday.
