Mark K. Bingham Memorial At-Home Challenge

July 25, 2020 @ 8:00 am - September 20, 2020 @ 11:30 pm

  • This event has passed.

Since we will not be able to gather together for the annual Mark K. Bingham 5K this year, we will be doing an AT HOME Challenge. This means that you and any Brothers or family members still have the opportunity to get involved! Participants will sign up online (so we know where to send the shirt), take a photo of themselves and those they’re with, and post it to social media by September 26th! Make sure to tag Chi Psi in your posts! Register for your free t-shirt below.

Mark K. Bingham, ΔΔ ’93, was a national champion rugby player at UC Berkeley and a former #1 at Alpha Delta Delta. He established two gay rugby clubs after college and the biennial world championship of LGBTQIA+ and inclusive rugby clubs bears his name. Mark, while on his way to attend a fellow Chi Psi’s wedding, was joined by Jeremy Glick (brother of Jonah Glick, OΔ ’90) and other passengers to overpower the hijackers on their United flight #93 and divert the plane away from its original target in Washington, D.C. Mark is an American hero, and in this challenge, we continue to remember the impact he left on this world. To take the Mark K. Bingham Memorial At-Home Challenge, you can do things like:

  • Go on a run, walk, or hike
  • Do a group workout
  • Play a round of golf or a game of tennis
  • Do water aerobics
  • Go for a bike ride

Remember to TAG Chi Psi Fraternity in the posts you share, so we can re-post! Information for Chi Psi social media is available HERE and below.
