Birge Award Lapel Pin?

The Birge Award was created in 1971 to honor Brother Birge, ‘an exemplar of an enlightened alumnus…’ and has been awarded to ‘that upper class member of Chi Psi who, during his years as an undergraduate, displayed exceptional loyalty and leadership in Fraternity affairs and whose contribution to Chi Psi has strengthened the brotherhood of humanity as well as the brotherhood of the Fraternity.’ The citation all of us received at the Annual Convention (I believe) contains these words. Keeping in mind Chi Psi’s tradition of modesty, we would like the thoughts and suggestions of the Birge Award recipients regarding a Birge Award lapel pin:

Recipient Biographies Wanted!

All of us were involved students at our various schools, and Chi Psi is interested in learning more about your story post-college. We may highlight a few previous recipients each summer or put together a comprehensive publication if we all share our stories. Here are some prompts to get you thinking. Please submit replies to as many as you like and / or submit a biography using the form below.
