Andrew Dewing, Omicron Delta `84
Andrew Dewing, OΔ `84 served on the Executive Council Advisory Board for two years before joining Council initially in 1998 at the 158th Convention in Minneapolis, MN. After six years on Council, Brother Dewing took a few years off and rejoined in 2007. In total he has served more than ten years on Council and is a former Chairman as well as former Vice Chairman.
Brother Dewing has served on the Alpha Omicron Delta Alumni Corporation since 1987 and is currently President. He also helped in the founding of Alpha Omega Delta at George Mason University and served on their Corporation from 2003-2007. In 2002, Brother Dewing was Convention Chairman and was recognized with an Alumni Recognition Award. He serves on the boards of Spencer Properties and its Oxford Holdings subsidiary, with which he worked in 2010 to secure a Lodge for Alpha Rho Delta. Brother Dewing also remains very active in the Washington and Lee Greek community, serving for twelve years on their Alumni Greek Council of which he is a former Secretary and President.
Brother Dewing lives in Suffolk, VA where he works in IT sales. Brother Dewing has served as President of the Alumni Association for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, where he went to high school and where his children are currently enrolled. He has also chaired the school's technology sub-committee for its 2010-20 Strategic Plan. Brother Dewing is an active father of three and has coached many youth sports teams as well as been a Chief for YMCA Indian Guides. He is also very involved in his Homeowners’ Association despite lots of effort not to be.
