175th Anniversary Celebration: Alpha Reunion Planning Resources

Chi Psi’s 175th Anniversary will be a wonderful occasion for undergraduates and alumni from your Alpha to celebrate together. Particularly if your Alpha or pledge class is having a milestone anniversary in 2016, we invite you to plan a celebration with us in Colonial Williamsburg!

Current plans include an evening with no scheduled Convention-wide events on Friday, August 5, allowing for Alphas to host their own events. The events must be planned and hosted by your Alpha’s alumni, but the 175th Crew and Central Office staff will provide the following support services:

  • Contacts & location options in Colonial Williamsburg (See below for information on available locations)
  • Event promotion & contact lists
  • Online registration & ticket sales

Colonial Williamsburg offers a number of wonderful venues for your Alpha's reunion. Whether you are planning something large or small, formal or casual, a location can be found to best suit your needs. Below is a list of available locations for you to consider, to book these, please contact Dotty Porter.


   

Fountain Garden and Fountain Garden Terrace

  • 50 – 150 people
  • The Rockefeller Building is held as indoor backup space (weather plan)
  • Restrooms are located on the lower level on the building
  • Fountain Garden is not handicapped assessable
  • The Terrace is covered
  • Entertainment permitted
  • Lighting will need to be rented for evening events in the Fountain Garden
  • Menu selection from the Williamsburg Inn Banquet Menus

 

    

 

Oval Garden

  • 50 – 300 people
  • Space would be held inside the Conference Center as indoor back up space (weather plan)
  • Restrooms are located on the lower level on the building
  • Entertainment permitted
  • Location can be tented
  • Lighting will need to be rented for evening events
  • Menu selection from the Williamsburg Inn Banquet Menus


Gold Clubhouse Grille and Terrace

  • Up to 50 people
  • This is located on the second floor of the Gold Course Clubhouse (not handicap accessible)
  • Restrooms are located on the same level
  • The Terrace is covered
  • Entertainment permitted
  • Available for evening events only
  • Menu selection from the Williamsburg Inn Banquet Menus

 

   
Gold Clubhouse Lower Level and Patio

  • 50 - 75 people
  • This is located on the Lower floor of the Gold Course Clubhouse (not handicap accessible)
  • Restrooms are located on the second level
  • The Terrace is covered
  • Entertainment permitted
  • Great location to incorporate a night golf event
  • Available for evening events only
  • Menu selection from the Williamsburg Inn Banquet Menus

 


Williamsburg Inn Regency Terrace

  • 50 – 75 people
  • This space available based on hotel occupancy
  • Restrooms are located off the main lobby of the Inn
  • Space would be held inside the Williamsburg Inn as indoor back up (weather plan)
  • Limited entertainment options available until 10:00 PM
  • Menu selection from the Williamsburg Inn Banquet Menus

  

East Lounge Queens Garden

  • 50 – 75 people
  • The Inn East Lounge would be held as indoor back up (weather plan)
  • Limited entertainment options available until 10:00 PM
  • Great location to incorporate Lawn Bowling or Croquet
  • Menu selection from the Williamsburg Inn Banquet Menus

 

 

Providence Hall House Terrace

  • 50 – 100 people
  • Restrooms are located inside the house on the lower level
  • The indoor backup would be the lower level of the house (weather plan)
  • Limited entertainment options available until 10:00 PM
  • Menu selection from the Williamsburg Inn Banquet Menus

 

Green Course Club House and Patio

  • 50 – 100 people
  • Restrooms are located inside the clubhouse
  • Space available for evening events only
  • The indoor backup would be the clubhouse (weather plan)
  • Entertainment permitted
  • Lighting will need to be rented for evening events
  • Location can be tented
  • Transportation cost would need to be considered when using this location
  • Menu selection from the Williamsburg Inn Banquet Menus

  

   
Colony Terrace

  • 50 – 100 people
  • Restrooms are located inside the Conference Center
  • Space would be held inside the Conference Center as indoor back up (weather plan)
  • Lighting will need to be rented for evening events
  • Limited entertainment options available until 10:00 PM

Lodge Lounge Courtyard

  • 50 – 100 people
  • Restrooms are located inside the Conference Center
  • Space would be held inside the Conference Center as indoor back up (weather plan)
  • Limited entertainment options available until 10:00 PM

  • Up to 50 people
