Trust Announces Douglas Johnston Scholarship and Confers the Distinguished Service Award upon W. Ross Hatch, Φ '62
On May 7, The Chi Psi Educational Trust announced its creation of The Douglas C. Johnston Scholarship with an event for alumni, undergraduates and members of the Johnston family. Also at the event, the Distinguished Service Award was conferred upon W. Ross Hatch, Φ '62.
The Douglas C. Johnston Scholarship Fund was established with donations from the Chi Psi Association of Hamilton College to benefit Hamilton undergraduates annually, honoring Doug Johnston, Φ '78, who served Alpha Phi's alumni corporation as president prior to his untimely death in 2006. Members of the Johnston family and many of Johnston's classmates were present at the event.
