Fraternity Welcomes Two New
Central Office Staff Members
We are
pleased to announce the hiring of two new staff members at Chi Psi Central
Office. Derek Taylor, ΠΔ `09, is joining
the team as our newest Alpha Visitor along with our new Development and Communications
Coordinator, Teri Forsythe.
Derek Taylor, Alpha Visitor
Derek graduated
in December of 2009 from North Carolina State University with a degree in
Professional Golf Management. Taylor was a strong leader in Alpha Pi Delta and
served as Coordinator of the Alpha’s Pink Tie Ball benefitting the Susan G.
Komen Foundation. The successful event was attended by Brothers, parents,
alumni, and many members of the Greek community.
Taylor’s
previous work experience includes internships with the Lake of Isles Golf
Course, Pinehurst Resort and Country Club, and Grandfather Golf and Country
Club. He grew up in the small town of Dublin, NC and considers himself an
outdoorsman who enjoys golfing and playing his guitar. Taylor is looking
forward to visiting all of Chi Psi’s Alphas and seeing their great cities and
campuses. He is excited to begin working with undergraduates in recruitment and
expansion to help strengthen our Alphas and continue the positive Chi Psi
experience on each campus.
Teri Forsythe: Development and
Communications Coordinator
Teri is
a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where she became a member of
Alpha Omicron Pi and served her chapter in several different leadership
positions. Forsythe was an active member of MTSU's Advertising Club, the
College of Mass Communication's Student Advisory Committee and Blue Elite
Admissions Organization. She is also a member of Lambda Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi
honors societies and a graduate of MTSU's University Honors College.
Forsythe
has worked as a graphic designer for the Blue Ribbon Magazine with the
Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. She also interned at AOII's
international headquarters in their communications department. Upon her
graduation from MTSU, Forsythe began working for AOII as a Resident Consultant
at West Virginia University and Kennesaw State University. In her position of
Development and Communications Coordinator, Forsythe will work to advance Chi
Psi’s alumni development and communications strategies, keeping everyone
up-to-date on the many incredible things that our collegiate and alumni
Brothers are doing. She will also provide support in fundraising efforts for
the Fraternity as well as The Chi Psi Educational Trust.
Both
Taylor and Forsythe are looking forward to doing their part in continuing Chi
Psi’s pursuit of excellence. Please join us in welcoming these two new hires to
the Chi Psi Central Office team.
