This educational video package increases awareness
of group dynamics and their ability to prevent people from taking
action to stop dangerous or inappropriate behavior. It demonstrates the
skills one needs to intervene successfully when one witnesses hazing or
other dangerous activity.
While this project was conceived to focus on hazing alone,
its bystander behavior approach opens the door to many other social challenges:
Hazing
Drug and alcohol abuse
Sexual abuse and assault
Racism
Homophobia
Anti-Semitism
Sexism
Eating disorders
By focusing on bystander behavior, this video provides a powerful developmental experience.
The Message: Believe in yourself! Live by your values!
Have the self-confidence and self-esteem to
stand up for what you know to be right.
