The Chi Psi Program for Excellence
Brothers of Chi Psi, in association, are part of a larger educational community, and this idea is at the core of all Chi Psi endeavors. With that in mind, The Chi Psi Educational Trust has developed The Chi Psi Program for Excellence to fulfill the Trust's four major objectives:
- Encourage leadership by strengthening skills and sharing experiences
- Enrich lives by teaching interpersonal skills and self-development techniques
- Engender academic excellence by providing an environment for recognizing and rewarding outstanding scholarship
- Enhance Alpha life through leadership programming
The Chi Psi Program for Excellence aims to prepare all new Chi Psis for the challenges of the 21st century, providing all Brothers, actives and alumni alike with the possibility of lifelong participation in Chi Psi Fraternity.
Chi Psi recruits gentlemen and scholars, and the Fraternity invites them to contribute to an elevated and refined friendship and strengthen their common bond. In this effort the Program for Excellence has been constructed with three components:
Educational Programs -- Through the Program for Self-Development, Alpha Management Retreat, Rowe Program for Leadership Development, and Program for Career Guidance, our Brothers learn valuable skills to realize their personal goals and leadership potential while driving their peers, Fraternity, and community toward success
Leadership Conferences and Officer Training -- Through the Rowe Regional Leadership Conferences and the Spencer Institute, the Trust provides a national experience through which Chi Psi undergraduates can better themselves, their Fraternity, and their community.
Values-based Education -- Through the Education, Responsibility, and Action Program, Chi Psi undergraduates discuss their values and convictions and apply them toward the development of strategies to address alcohol abuse and other harmful activities. Chi Psi's Risk Management Education Program provides a 5-unit survey of our insurance coverage and benefits, risk management policies, and strategies for risk mitigation. Each unit caters to the specific needs of the Chi Psi Brother or Pledges as he progresses through his undergraduate career and into his post-graduate life.
